Meet Justin Haley
Crafting Timeless Masonry with Expertise, Tradition, and Passion.
My Life and Career as a Mason
Justin Haley’s journey in masonry began in his hometown of St. Stephen, NB, where he was born and raised. As a young teenager, he spent a summer working alongside his uncle, learning the fundamentals of the trade. This early exposure to masonry left a lasting impression on Justin, sparking a passion for craftsmanship and laying the foundation for his future career.
After graduating from high school in 2001, Justin transitioned into masonry full-time, starting just two months after graduation. His career began with an extraordinary opportunity to work laying stone for the Magna Golf Course Clubhouse in Aurora, Ontario. This project introduced Justin to the high standards and intricate artistry that would define his work in the years to come.
In 2005, Justin relocated to Calgary, Alberta, where he continued to hone his skills under the mentorship of Albert Sartori, a seasoned mason who brought centuries-old techniques from Rome, Italy. Albert’s expertise and traditional methods had been passed down through generations, dating back to the Roman Empire. Under his tutelage, Justin refined his craft, mastering timeless masonry techniques that continue to influence his work today.
Driven by his passion for masonry, Justin achieved the prestigious Red Seal certification, officially recognizing him as a highly skilled and qualified tradesperson. Building on this success, he founded Haley’s Masonry in 2021, bringing his wealth of experience and dedication to clients across the region. Justin’s work is a testament to his commitment to excellence, blending time-honored traditions with modern expertise to create structures that stand the test of time.
